Terms of Use
LAST UPDATED: OCTOBER 5, 2026
1. About the service
Music DNA Studio is a free, browser-based tool that analyzes audio files you choose to load and generates text-based prompt frameworks for third-party AI music generation platforms. All analysis is performed locally in your browser via the Web Audio API. There is no backend that receives your audio, no account, and no upload step. By using the tool you agree to these Terms.
2. User content & upload representations
- By loading audio into the tool, you represent and warrant that you are the copyright owner of the file or that you have obtained all necessary licenses and permissions to analyze it.
- Do not load: (a) copyrighted works without authorization, (b) DRM-protected content, or (c) material that violates any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- You warrant that the content you load does not infringe third-party rights. Because processing is entirely local, we do not host, store, or retain any audio files and have no ability to monitor or remove content from your device.
3. What the tool does — and does not do
- The tool extracts technical metadata (e.g., tempo, spectral balance, key, dynamics) from the audio you load and generates text prompts. We do not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of any audio.
- All audio files selected by you are processed strictly within your local browser environment and are never transmitted to, stored on, or processed by our servers.
3.1 Neural audio classification (YAMNet) — acknowledgement
The tool's optional neural pass utilizes YAMNet for audio event classification, developed by Google LLC. Copyright © 2019 The TensorFlow Authors. All rights reserved. Licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0 (the "License").
The complete copyright and license notice — including the license text location and the statutory AS-IS warranty disclaimer — is reproduced verbatim in Section 10 (Open source licenses) below, which forms part of these Terms. The classification runs entirely in your browser — the model is fetched from a public CDN and applied to your audio locally, so the no-upload architecture described above is unchanged.
4. AI prompts & third-party platforms
- Prompts generated by the tool are text descriptions designed for compatibility with third-party generative AI platforms. We make no claims regarding the copyright status or originality of music created using these prompts.
- We do not claim ownership of the prompts you generate, and we do not guarantee that audio produced on third-party engines will be free from third-party copyright or trademark claims.
- Prompts are text descriptions of technical features (BPM, genre tags, structure labels). They do not guarantee that music generated on third-party platforms will be non-infringing. You are responsible for checking output before commercial use.
- Commercial rights, licensing, and usage of any audio you generate on a third-party platform are governed entirely by that platform's own terms of service.
- Engine names referenced in the tool (product names, trademarks, and registered trademarks) are the property of their respective owners. Engine formats are generated independently for compatibility; no affiliation, partnership, or endorsement is implied.
- Affiliate disclosure: the tool displays optional links to independent third-party tools and services (e.g., AI-vocal, arrangement, or stem-separation tools). Music DNA Studio may earn a commission if you purchase through a partner link — at no extra cost to you. Partner use is entirely optional and is never a requirement for using the tool.
- Partners operate independently of Music DNA Studio: their products, accounts, pricing, and licensing are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and commercial licenses, and their sites may set their own cookies or tracking. We never receive your audio — analysis runs entirely in your browser — and no affiliation, partnership, or endorsement is implied by any partner link.
5. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Music DNA Studio and its operator from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from audio you load into the tool, prompts you generate, or your use of outputs from third-party platforms — including allegations of copyright infringement, DMCA violations, or unauthorized use of protected works.
6. DMCA / copyright agent
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content or functionality made available through this website infringes your copyright, please send a notice to our designated copyright agent:
- Copyright Agent: Music DNA Studio
- Email: musicdnastudio@proton.me (subject line: "DMCA Notice")
A valid notice should include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- Identification of the material or URL you claim is infringing (please include the exact page address);
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Because audio analysis occurs entirely on users' own devices, our practical ability to "remove" content is limited to removing or disabling functionality, text, or references on this website. We will review valid notices promptly and take appropriate action, which may include removing the challenged material or terminating access for repeat infringers.
7. Suspension & termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the tool for users who repeatedly upload infringing content or violate these Terms, to the extent technically feasible.
8. Disclaimer of warranties & limitation of liability
The tool is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, suitability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Music DNA Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the tool or of any prompts or generated content.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the tool after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Open source licenses
The notices in this section are part of these Terms of Use and are reproduced verbatim as required by the respective licenses.
10.1 YAMNet — audio event classification
The tool's optional neural pass utilizes YAMNet for audio event classification. YAMNet is an open-source audio event classification model developed and maintained by Google LLC, which classifies audio into hundreds of everyday sound and music categories; in this tool it refines the mood, genre, and timbre descriptors in generated prompts.

- The model runs entirely in your browser — your audio is never uploaded for classification. See the Privacy Policy, Section 4, for the data-handling details.
- The model is fetched at runtime from its public hosting (TensorFlow Hub, tfhub.dev/google/tfjs-model/yamnet/tfjs/1) in TensorFlow.js format.
10.2 TensorFlow.js — machine-learning runtime
The neural pass executes via TensorFlow.js, loaded at runtime from the jsDelivr CDN.
